Revitalize Your Furniture
Breathe new life into your beloved furniture with my seat weaving services. I specialise in all kinds of woven seating, including cane, Danish papercord, and rush.
Seat Weaving Services
At The Seatwright, I’m dedicated to providing exceptional furniture-weaving services that bring new life to your cherished pieces. I offer a range of traditional and modern seat-weaving techniques - including hand cane, Danish papercord, and rush - ensuring every item is returned to you refreshed, refined, and ready for many more years of use. My focus is always on preserving craftsmanship while enhancing the strength, beauty, and longevity of your furniture.
Please note that I specialise solely in seat weaving and do not provide structural restoration or frame repairs. For this reason, I can only accept chairs and furniture that are already in sound condition. That said, I’m always happy to give each piece a gentle polish while the old woven material is removed.

Cane Seating
I offer replacement of both hand cane and sheet cane seating.
If you're unsure which type of cane your furniture uses, please feel free to get in touch. I can advise on the most appropriate method of restoration and discuss the options available for your piece.
Please visit the price page for approximate hand caning costs. For sheet cane replacement contact me for a tailored estimate.
Danish Papercord
Specialised weaving techniques for elegant Danish papercord seating, carefully crafted to
preserve the clean lines, comfort, and timeless character of mid-century furniture.

Rush Weaving
Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss
replacing a rush seat.
I usually use pre-twisted rush, as it is easier to source while still achieving a traditional and long-lasting finish. However, every project is different, so I'd be happy to talk through your requirements and advise on the most suitable approach for your chair.
All seats are woven and finished with care to
ensure a high-quality result.

Pricing
Please take a look at my pricing page for a rough guide to costs. For an accurate quote, I’ll need to see the piece of furniture - either in person or through clear, detailed photographs.
