Hello, I’m Meg, the proud owner of The Seatwright - your local seat weaver based near the charming seaside town of Deal, Kent. After several rewarding years in the shipping industry, I chose to retrain and follow my passion for furniture restoration, especially after becoming a parent. In a world where so much is disposable, I believe in the value of repairing the pieces we love. Not only is it kinder to the environment, but it also allows us to preserve the memories attached to the furniture we live with every day.

Every piece has its own story, and I take great joy in helping bring those stories back to life, restoring function and beauty while honouring their history. I’m continually learning and growing in my craft, and I’m always honest about my capabilities. If a project involves a technique that’s new to me, I’m happy to offer a reduced price while I develop my skills.
